Shane M. Sweeney is Safety Director at Phoenix Foundation Company, Inc., bringing more than 30 years of experience in safety and operations, including 20 years of active-duty service in the U.S. Air Force.
He specializes in safety management, regulatory compliance, accident investigations, and operational oversight within complex geotechnical construction environments.
Throughout his career, Shane has received extensive specialized training in accident investigation, emergency response, aircraft and flight investigations, explosives site planning, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers infrastructure, and Inspector General compliance. At Phoenix Foundation Company, Inc., he oversees safety and compliance across projects throughout the Northeast, ensuring adherence to OSHA and other federal, state, and industry regulations. His expertise encompasses a wide range of geotechnical operations, including drilled shafts, micropiles, tiebacks, rock anchors, shotcrete and soil nails, helical piles, earth retention systems, slurry walls, and specialized drilling operations.
Shane is committed to fostering safe, compliant, and efficient job sites while developing programs that protect employees and support successful project execution. Outside of work, he enjoys fine cigars, jazz music, collecting vinyl records, and spending time with his beloved hens.
